I’m doing some work on health equity and racial disparities in health care delivery, and was alerted to Swarthmore College’s micro-internship program. It’s targeted to employers who are alums (that’s me!), student interns get paid (yes!) and an internship can be a 10- , 20- or 30-hour project (very flexible!). I created two 10-hour research projects focused on health equity and racial disparities, interviewed and selected two amazing students who energetically dived in. I am so impressed with their work and give high marks to the Parker Dewey/Swarthmore process.
